Welcome to The Parish Church of St. Helena

Saint Helena's
Welcome
To all who are spiritually weary and seek rest;
to all who mourn and long for comfort;
to all who struggle and desire victory;
to all who sin and need a Savior;
to all who are strangers and want fellowship;
to all who hunger and thirst after righteousness;
and to whoever will come--
this church opens wide her doors
and offers her welcome in the name
of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Information on High School Seniors Needed

We will recognize our graduates next Sunday, May 18. Please contact Tim in the next couple of days to make sure that we have all of your information. Call him at 522-1712, ext. 218, or email him at tedwards@islc.net.

High School Girls Invited to a Mexican Fiesta

Join us from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, as we hang out at Tim and Michelle’s and prepare our feast! Please email Courtney Garbade at courtneygnau@yahoo.com with recipes and do some bicep curls in preparation for the pinata! Contact Michelle Edwards at 986-9775 for directions to the house.

Middle School Boys to see Prince Caspian

All middle school boys are invited to see Prince Caspian on Saturday, May 17. We’ll meet in the church parking lot (by the Preschool) at 10:30 a.m., eat a greasy burger, and see the show in Bluffton. Bring money for lunch and the movie (snacks, too, if you enjoy getting stomach aches). We will return to the church around 3:30 p.m. (Kids will call parents on the way home.) Call or email Tim to let him know if you’re coming at tedwards@islc.net or 812-2313.

Middle School Girls Small Group

In lieu of our previously scheduled meeting at Common Ground on Saturday, May 17, we’ll have an “End-of-Year” Celebration Cookout at 5 p.m. at the Pearson’s house. To RSVP and to get directions, contact Lauren Pearson at laurenwoods17@gmail.com.

High School Summer Mission Trip

High school students are encouraged to join us for this summer’s mission trip to Pittsburgh, PA. We’ll be working with Ed Glover (who spoke with us throughout the John Guest weekend) and his ministry in inner-city Pittsburgh. We’ll participate in hands-on service projects in the name of Jesus and will be challenged to grow in our relationships with the Lord. Cost is $250 per person ($150 for additional siblings), and the dates are July 13-19.  Money is due by Sunday, May 25. Contact Tim with questions.
