Ministry to the Sick and Shut-In

We offer the following ministries to the sick and shut-in:

Prayer List: Names on the Prayer List in The Weekly Herald are the initial communication to the parish of a need for prayer. In order to keep the list current, names remain on the list for 30 days. Expectant mothers remain on the list until their children are born and deployed military until they return home. Please call the church office at 522-1712 to inform the clergy of hospitalizations. To place someone on the Prayer List, please retain their permission and either fill out the yellow card in the pew rack or call the church office. Also, the Parish Prayer Ministry led by Bill and Cynthia Thompson and the Daughters of the King led by Barbara Everett offer long-term, confidential prayer ministries. Please call Bill or Cynthia at 521-1939 or Barbara at 525-1990.

Hospital Visits: Our clergy and laity make regular visits to Beaufort Memorial Hospital. However, a privacy law prevents hospitals from providing us with a list of Episcopalians who are registered. Please call the church office at 522-1712 to let us know if someone is in the hospital.

Holy Eucharist and Healing Service: Each Thursday at 11:00 a.m. a service of Holy Eucharist and prayers for healing and unction is offered in the church.

Worship Services at Bayview, River Oaks, and Morningside: Every Tuesday at Bayview Nursing Center, we alternate celebrating the Holy Eucharist and Morning Prayer at 10:45 a.m. At River Oaks Nursing Center, we celebrate the Holy Eucharist every first and third Thursday at 10:15 a.m. And at Morningside, we celebrate the Holy Eucharist on the second Thursday of the month at 11:00 a.m.
