St. Helena's Classes iTunes Subscription Link

Option 1 - iTunes

There are no costs associated with subscribing to the podcasts at The Parish Church of St. Helena. We recommend you take advantage of this exciting new feature.

A podcast is a feed to which you subscribe. It allows your computer to automatically download MP3s of the Sermons and Classes as soon as they become available so that you may listen to them on your computer or place them on your iPod. It’s pretty simple. Again, we encourage you to take advantage of our Podcasts.
  1. If you don't already have iTunes 4.9 or above, download and install it. Download iTunes - Click Here iTunes is a cross-platform (works on Windows 2000, XP, and Mac OS) program that allows you to subscribe to podcast feeds.
  2. Once you have successfully installed iTunes, you want to subscribe to our podcast feed. You can do that by clicking on the link at the top of the page.
  3. A message may pop up indicating that you have to launch an external application (iTunes). Click the button that says "Launch Application." You can also check the box which will tell your computer to open iTunes for all links of this type.
  4. Once iTunes launches our podcast page, click the "Subscribe" button and iTunes will download our podcast right to your computer.
  5. Each week we will update the podcast with the latest sermon. You will have access to that simply by right clicking on our podcast in your iTunes podcast list and choosing "Update Podcast."

Option 2 - Web Based Podcatcher

While we encourage visitors to utilize iTunes Desktop Podcatcher when subscribing to our Sermons and Classes, we realize that some people prefer utilizing a Web Based Podcatcher and others don't have Windows 2000, XP,  or Mac Operating Systems on their computer.

If this is the case for you, then you may want to try utilizing one of the following services:

How do I subscribe to the Sermons feed with a Web Based Podcatcher?

It's super simple. Log into MyMSN, MyYahoo!, or Google Reader and click the relevant button:
  • MyYahoo for Yahoo
  • Add to Googlefor Google
  • Add to Googlefor MSN

These three services are the only ones you really want to care about. The benefit of using them is two-fold:

  • A web-based service means your favorite feeds will remain available when you change computers
  • Search engines (will) provide tools to organize feeds by topic and relevance rather than by site and date
The drawback is that you may not like submitting information about yourself to these services.  If so, then you may opt simply to listen to the sermons and classes on the website or download them.
