Daughters of the King
1st and 3rd Fridays each month
2nd Saturday of the month

The Order of the Daughters of the King is an international Order of laywomen who are communicants of the Episcopal/Anglican church or churches in communion with it. By reaffirmation of promises made during Holy Baptism and Confirmation, a daughter pledges herself to a lifelong program of prayer, service, and evangelism. She dedicates herself to the spreading of Christ’s kingdom and strengthening the spiritual life of her parish. Members of the order undertake a Rule of Life which incorporates the Rule of Prayer and Rule of Service.

The St. Jane Frances de Chantal chapter of St. Helena’s meets two Fridays a month and one Saturday (for working members) to study and pray. They maintain a confidential prayer list of requests received personally or by prayer card.

Cursillo

Cursillo is a movement of the Episcopal Church with a growing, active group at St. Helena’s. Its motto is: “Make a friend, be a friend, bring a friend to Christ.” Cursillo’s purpose is to help parishioners understand their calling to be Christian leaders and to have a positive influence on others for building up the body of Christ. Retreats take place during three-day weekends at Camp St. Christopher, followed by regular groupings and reunions for continued spiritual growth.
